Tim was raised in Arlington, Texas son of Joe and Susan Lockhart with his sister Linda. Tim is a 6th generation Texan, a descendant of Charles Lockhart who settled near Gonzales, Texas as part of the Dewitt Colony, and is a U.S. Air Force Veteran. As a child, Tim had aspirations of being an entrepreneur. Never in a million years did he think he’d stumble into the real estate industry, but you can’t always predict where or when you’ll discover what you’re meant to do in life.
Tim was taught at a young age that if you want something in life, you have to work for it. So that’s what he did. And he worked hard. Tim was inspired to become an entrepreneur by watching his grandfather who owned a bottling plant in San Antonio, Texas distributing Canada Dry ginger ale, Frosty Root Beer, and Crush drinks. He grew up with cases of drinks and his favorite was Grape Crush. His grandfather also owned Western Aero, an aircraft parts supply store at the San Antonio airport. This planted the entrepreneurial bug in Tim; however, he had a challenge. As a child, Tim stuttered horribly. If you hear him speak publicly today, he often recounts the story of how he was not able to even answer the phone when he was in elementary and junior high school. How could he become and entrepreneur if he could not speak on the phone?
Interested in creating and building, yet not ready to go out on his own as an entrepreneur yet, Tim decided to attend the University of Texas at Arlington and study Mechanical Engineering. During his studies, he entered the Air Force ROTC program, and upon graduation obtained his commission as a Civil Engineering officer in 1993.
During his Air Force career, Tim has been stationed in California, Germany, Iceland, Texas and Virginia. He is also an Iraq and Afghanistan veteran with multiple tours in the region. He has served in Iraq, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and for three different regional commands in Afghanistan.
Tim survived the missile attack on the Presidential Palace in downtown Baghdad on January 30th, 2005. This was the day before the Iraqi people went to the poles for the first free elections in this nation’s history.
He also earned a Master of Arts in Religion degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Virginia. He has served in many different capacities, as an adult Sunday school teacher, and worship leader.
Upon retiring from the Air Force in 2013, Tim joined Keller Williams Realty as a licensed REALTOR® and in four short years, built a real estate sales business with his team ranking in the Top 20% of the largest real estate company in the world competing against over 160,000 agents worldwide and has sold hundreds of homes.
